Dr Molly Morgan Jones is Acting Associate Director, Innovation and Technology Policy Programme, at RAND Europe. Her research focuses on the governance of innovation, particularly biomedical technologies, and the evaluation and assessment of research impact. She regularly works with a range of clients in the public and private sector conducting innovation and science policy analysis and evaluations across a range of topics including open innovation and public-private partnerships in drug discovery, the use of anti-retroviral drugs to treat HIV, research impact methodologies and policy development, and the role of science and technology parks in an innovation system. Prior to joining RAND Europe, Molly worked for UK and U.S. government departments in science strategy and regulatory affairs, and has conducted consultancy and research projects for UK and EU bodies. She has a long-standing interest in the intersection of scientific innovation and public policymaking. She graduated magna cum laude from Northwestern University with a degree in biology and holds an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in science and technology policy from the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU) at the University of Sussex.
