Laura currently works as the clinical SEND lead for County Durham CCG and has done so for the past 3 years and she has been interested in neurodiversity and mental health in children and young people for a long time. She is a chartered clinical psychologist and previously worked with poorly children at the Great North Children's Hospital and prior to that in community services for people with learning disabilities. More recently, Laura was a parent-co-researcher exploring how to improve access to community and leisure facilities for neuro-diverse young people and held research associate posts at Lancaster and Durham University.
