Dr Krishna Kasaraneni is the Medical Director of Humberside LMCs and Chairman of the BMA’s Education, Training and Workforce Subcommittee of the GPs committee. As well as running his GP surgery, he also has an interest in equality and fairness and is finishing his tenure as the Chairman of BMA’s Equality and Inclusion Committee. He was the BMA’s representative for NHS England’s workforce initiative ’10 Point Plan’ and led the ‘Women in Medical Leadership’ which is a joint venture with The King’s Fund, FMLM, Medical Womens’ Federation, Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Royal College of Physicians. He will shortly be representing the association for the workforce initiatives of the General Practice Forward View.
He was the finalist for the prestigious ‘General Practitioner of the Year’ award in 2015 and has been named as one of the Pulse magazine’s ‘Top 50 influential GPs of the year’ every year since 2012.
