Ivan is a Senior Lecturer in Public Health at the Public Health Institute, Liverpool John Moores University. He has a range of research interests covering the impacts of environmental factors on health. In particular Ivan has conducted tobacco related research that has supported the development of the Smokefree 07 legislation in England and informed national advertising campaigns on the dangers of second-hand smoke. He has also been exploring the impact of advice on Smokefree homes and the effectiveness of smokers’ strategies to limit the exposure to other family members. Ivan has a keen interest in the developing area of e-cigarettes and is working with organisations in the North-West, exploring their policies on e-cigarette use.
