Dr Damian Mather is a Principal Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University. In 2003, Damian won a scholarship from the Centre of European Law and Legal Studies at the University of Leeds to read for a PhD. For his doctoral thesis, Damian carried an empirical study into the existence of multi-level governance in the implementation of European regional policy in the English regions. He was awarded a doctorate in November 2008. Before coming to Manchester Law School as lecturer in law in 2006, Damian was associate lecturer at Edge Hill University and the Universities of Manchester and Leeds. He has led the LLM at Manchester Law School since 2010 and is currently a principal lecturer.
