Dr Catherine Pestano SFHEA, Visiting Fellow, WELS Faculty The Open University
Catherine ran an award winning Independent Visitor service and was a Children Looked After social worker. She offers consultancy in these and other areas. An OU Associate Lecturer since 1998, Catherine has taught across health, social work and youth work subject areas, as well as on management, leadership and creativity (OUBS), at under graduate and postgraduate levels. She is research active at the Open University with a research network on creative music for wellbeing and social justice. Other areas of interest include menopause, mental health and LGBTQ* matters, ageing, death and dying. With former senior manager and national charity Chair roles, Catherine has authored on Change management for an OU postgraduate course.
