Alison has a wealth of experience in adult neuropsychology and adult mental health services, and has worked in the NHS for over 17 years. Alison is a qualified clinical psychologist, working in a senior position in a specialist adult mental health rehabilitation inpatient service, before moving to work in NHS Staff Wellbeing. Alison joined WWL in 2020 following a new commitment of the organisation to improve access to mental health support for their staff. After a challenging 18 months of developing and leading the service, Alison is looking to consolidate the learning from working with staff throughout the pandemic to consider the key factors of regaining and retaining resilience in the workforce for the long-term. Alison uses CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-based approaches therapeutically and has a keen interest in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and its application to effectiveness and resilience in NHS professionals.
