Dr Alan Barrett isĀ is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and the Strategic Clinical Lead (Adults) at the NHS Manchester Resilience Hub, which he helped establish to coordinate the psychological and mental health support for all those affected by the Manchester Arena Attack (May 2017). Implementing novel outreach and screening processes, along with whole family and whole systems support. Alan is also the Clinical lead for a specialist regional Military Veterans Service for those unable to have their clinical needs met within mainstream Mental Health services. He has extensive clinical experience of providing support and therapy to professional groups impacted by work-related traumatic incidents. He is also an Honorary Professor within the school of health sciences, University of Salford. Alan is currently assisting with the coordination and delivery of the Covid-19 pandemic psychosocial offer within Greater Manchester. Alan has consulted on a number of national and international disasters and mass casualty incidents.
