Di Domenico is the National Personalisation Lead for the Learning Disability Programme in NHS England, providing expertise and guidance on person centred approaches for people with a learning disability or autism or both. Di has a particular interest in how language affects the way we think and how it can be used to change the culture of health and social care to shift the balance of power away from the system and to the individual. Di is a commissioner by background and has commissioned a wide range of care and support in a number of areas, including learning disability, mental health, substance misuse, older people and prison health. In addition, Di led one of the original Personal Health Budget pilot sites.
