Demelza has spent the past 11 years of her career in various roles supporting people with disabilities. She developed a particular interest in autism when working in a residential school in London and decided to focus her career on this area. Demelza began working for CareTrade in 2013 and coordinated the pilot project Employment Opportunities. Demelza is passionate about supporting adults with autism into employment as well as changing employer’s perceptions. Due to the success of the pilot project, the Employment Opportunities Programme has continued to grow, with 16 adults currently being supported.
