David Tidey started his public sector career at the Greater London Council (GLC) as a Management Trainee, where he discovered computers.
He moved to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, just before the GLC was abolished where he has undertaken a number of roles both outside and within the IT department. His last role was as Assistant Chief Executive (Business Change) responsible for IT, Customer Services and the Customer Services Transformation Programme.
He moved to his current position as Assistant Director (IT and Business Management) at Wandsworth Council just over five years ago. His primary responsibility is everything to do with IT, but he also lead a project three years ago to create a customer services strategy and now sits on the Customer Services Steering Group driving the Council’s “Online First” programme.
David is an active member of SOCITM and is a Fellow of the BCS, The Chartered Institute for
