Dave Taylor has over 35 years’ experience of digital development and marketing in both the public and private sectors. Formerly he was responsible for e-commerce and web marketing for a multinational manufacturer and later joined the National Physical Laboratory to assume responsibility for knowledge transfer between their scientists and the NHS.
In 2007/8 he provided digital media support for Lord Darzi’s healthcare consultations for NHS London and the NHS Next Stage Review, and subsequently joined Imperial College’s Faculty of Medicine where he manages technology-based research projects in healthcare quality improvement and patient safety. His recent work includes an iPad-based app that facilitates communication within surgical teams and between the team and their patients.
He became a Trustee of the Patients Association in 2015, where he oversees their digital communications strategy and systems.
Dave has a BSc in Mathematics and an MSc in Experimental Psychology.
