Claire has over 20 years NHS nursing experience working across a range of health services including adult mental health units, secure hospitals, prisons, community public health nursing, and acute hospital settings. Dual registered as an RMN and Health Visitor Claire has been in specialist safeguarding roles for the last 6 years supporting and developing both adult and child safeguarding practice and is currently the Deputy Head of Safeguarding and Named Nurse for Safeguarding Children for a large acute hospital provider in the Southwest of England. Practice areas of interest include transitional safeguarding and extra-familial harm across the 16- to 25-year-old age group.
