  • Bio

Christine took up post as Chief Executive of The Salvesen Mindroom Centre in early 2015 having decided that after nearly 30 years in the civil service, she needed a new challenge. As a senior civil servant Christine worked in many policy areas latterly in schools and the third sector. She was an Executive Director in the Scottish Prison Service and led the procurement of the first PFI prison in Scotland. She is a member of Changing the Chemistry, a national charity working to improve diversity of thought within boards across public, private and third sectors. Christine is a member of several Scottish Government policy groups looking at how best to support young people with additional support needs in education.
