I became involved with Headucate as a society member while I was doing my undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of East Anglia, and then set up a Headucate branch at the University of Nottingham when I went to do my Masters in Developmental Disorders. When I graduated, I then became a trustee for Headucate UK and stayed actively involved while I worked for the Beyond Autism schools in London across the age range of their services. I have now just started a new position as an Assistant Psychologist in the Norfolk and Suffolk NHS foundation trust as past of the community adult mental health team and am thrilled to have a bit more time to dedicate to Headucate UK contributions.
