Catherine is a high experienced principal consultant with almost 30 years strategic, managerial, operational, policy and financial experience. She has led on the delivery of a range of organisational change and transformational projects across the public sector, working closely with senior leaders to embed change that makes significant difference, both in terms of efficiency and effectiveness.
Catherine has extensive hands on experience at working with local government to make real and radical change. She brings a fresh perspective to organisations, with an emphasis on commercial thinking and business acumen. She helps leaders to stay focused on the strategic issues and the long term, whilst developing practical and deliverable change plans.
She is a highly skilled facilitator, of both small and large groups, able to stimulate discussions and support local authority officers and members to focus on key decisions. Her recent work has been to provide support for whole organization change on multi million pound efficiency projects. She has experience of developing shared services across a number of councils at different tiers and has supported authorities in developing their commercial property portfolio, exploring different trading models and income maximisation to support their economic regeneration and growth aspirations.
Catherine has excellent interpersonal skills, is very perceptive and has a particular ability to work with people at all levels within organisations, coupled with a clear, strong commercial perspective. Her extensive and varied experience, coupled with her gravitas and ability to think strategically, means that she is often positioned as a trusted adviser to senior leaders.
