Billie Jo is a care leaver from Hartlepool. She became a champion for YPBMF in January 2017 after volunteering with her local authority Hartlepool Borough Council, whom she completed a business administration apprenticeship with. Currently she still sits on Hartlepool Council's fostering panel where foster carers and long term matches are approved for children. She became a Sessional Worker in January 2019 after volunteering at numerous YPBMF events and realising she had a passion for supporting young people in care and care leavers. Billie Jo is currently also working in a children's home, supporting up to five teenagers aged 11-18 with additional emotional and social needs. She has recently just finished the third and final year of my Social Work degree, and am awaiting my final grades.
