Anne is Head of Measurement and Evaluation at NPC (New Philanthropy Capital), a think tank and consultancy which helps charities and funders to achieve the greatest impact. She has over 15 years’ experience as a social researcher and evaluation consultant, specialising in family services and interventions. Anne has worked with a wide range of charities, funders and commissioners on developing a theory of change and ways to measure their impact. She oversees NPC’s impact measurement training programme, and is co-author of Four Pillars, published in June 2014, which provides clear and practical guidance in developing an impact measurement framework.
A key area of work for NPC is the development of shared measurement frameworks, which involves designing sector-specific tools and questionnaires to be used by a range of organisations in the same sector. Anne has overseen a shared measurement framework for services focusing on offenders’ family and peer relationships, funded by the National Offender Management Service, as well as the development of a measure of well-being for children with special educational needs, funded by the West London Tri-borough. Before joining NPC, Anne worked as a Research Director at NatCen Social Research.
