Andrew Lockhart-Mirams co-founded Lockharts Solicitors in 1995 and is the Senior Partner at the firm. Andrew has over 30 years of experience in advising general healthcare practitioners on a range of issues in relation to practice developments, federations, practice mergers and acquisitions, NHS England contracting issues, partnership, CCG tendering and contractual arrangements.
Andrew has a national reputation for his work in the development of PMS and APMS agreements, forming provider companies, NHS clawbacks, super partnerships, dispute resolution and governance. Andrew’s work takes on board the developments of MCPs and PACS in line with the Five Year Forward View.
Andrew is the Chairman of the National Association of Specialist Solicitors Advising Doctors (NASSAD), and the only lawyer member of the Specialist Medical Accountancy Services Group (SMAS). Andrew was named as a ‘Super Lawyer for Business Affairs’ in 2013, and also received an award at the ‘Annual LMC Conference Dinner’ in recognition of 21 years’ service to GPs in the UK. Andrew is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and is also an Accredited Mediator with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Alternative dispute resolution is an ever increasing part of his work.
