Andrew is 56 and attended Rutlish School in Wimbledon before gaining a BSc in Forestry at the University College of North Wales, Bangor. He subsequently gained a postgraduate Diploma in Housing Studies and an MA in Housing from the University of the West of England.
After a short spell in the private sector, Andrew started his career in local government in 1982 in London and then progressed in the Housing field in the South West, becoming Director of Housing in Sedgemoor in 1995. A move to Cotswold District Council in 1997 led to a wider brief in Community Services and latterly Deputy Chief Executive.
Andrew has been Chief Executive of AVDC since October 2006 and has led on growth, regeneration and business transformation: AVDC is iESE’s current ‘Council of the Year’
Andrew is married with four children and is a keen cyclist.
