Adanna currently works in NHS England as South East Regional Deputy Director of Nursing for Professional & Systems Development and has Programme Director responsibility for the Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Autism, SEND in region. One of her Proudest achievements was working as one of three National Programme Leads for the Covid-19 Vaccination programme. Adanna is a Registered Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Independent Prescriber. She is also trained to deliver brief psychosocial interventions to those with serious mental illness.
Adanna has worked in healthcare in various clinical operational and strategic roles for over 20 years. She is internationally known for her passion areas which include Equality Diversity and Inclusion, Health Strategy and Transformation, Workforce development. Quality and Safety Improvement, Leadership and Mentoring. passion for health education, quality transformation and improvement.
Adanna has a growing portfolio of governmental and non-governmental work in the UK, Trinidad, and Ghana, and she is also a very proud Trinidadian, activist for social justice and race equity. Adanna is also the current chair of NHS England South East Region’s Black and Minority Ethnic Network.
