Aaron Sefi is Research and Evaluation Director at XenZone, provider of Kooth online counselling and emotional wellbeing services. A counsellor by training, Aaron has delivered online and face-to-face services across the UK for the past eight years. In this time he has worked closely with CCG and Local Authority commissioners to help shape models for integrated services that provide help for emerging mental health problems. Based in Cornwall, Aaron plays an active role on the local CAMHS Transformation Board. He has also been Digital Lead for the (Big Lottery) Headstart Initiative in Cornwall and has led on a digital inclusion project with MindED to provide professionals with a resource to better understand young people’s digital lives. Aaron has implemented research projects evaluating school-based and online counselling, and goal-based outcome measures. He has been published in peer-reviewed journals, contributed chapters to The Handbook of Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy; Adolescent Counselling Psychology: Theory, Research and Practice, and has written training sessions for the Counselling MindED e-learning programme.
