Primary Care is under unprecedented pressure and action is needed. Published in April 2016 The General Practice Forward View sets out a vision to transform general practice. Backed by an extra £2.4bn a year the Forward View outlines practical and funded steps to support local practices to redesign the way modern primary care is offered to patients. Key areas of focus are developing the workforce, driving efficiencies in workload and managing demand, and modernising infrastructure and technology.
The Federation, Mergers and Alliances seminar provides an opportunity for you to learn and develop a greater understanding of the history of federation, benefits, why federate, what CCGs want, how to build a federation and how it fits into the Forward View and MCP contracting. Alliance working and mergers and the differences between these key three models will also be discussed. The seminar will also look at how significant data sharing is in all the models across the healthcare sector.
You will have the opportunity to build contacts and benefit from knowledge sharing and networking, as well as question, discuss and debate the very latest policies, projects and emerging models, as well as sharing your own stories and experiences in federating, alliance work, mergers and data sharing.
Our expert speaker, Andrew Lockhart-Mirams, will be delivering the seminar. We are going to be joined by Graeme Cleland from Taurus Healthcare. By the end of the seminar, you will know more about the various models and how data sharing underlines each model, begin to implement it with confidence if and when ready, and to contact Lockharts for the professional legal side of the work.
