Reinhard studied Clinical Psychology and Gerontology in Heidelberg, Germany, before moving to the UK, where he has worked in specialist services for older people and dementia for thirty years in the National Health Service, as well as being involved in teaching, training, research and the support of the psychology profession through the British Psychological Society. Reinhard has long held a special interest in the dementias and following completion of his term of chairing the Faculty is currently leading the Faculty of the Psychology of Older People’s Dementia Workstream alongside appointments on the steering groups of YoungDementia Network and the National Dementia Action Alliance. He works as Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Neuropsychologist at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust in Hastings.
