Leigh has been a qualified Learning Disability nurse since 1997, and has worked within a variety of Learning Disability and Psychiatric services, including Medium secure forensic units, Locked rehabilitation, Respite care and Her Majesty’s Prison service.
He worked as an adaptive Sex Offender Treatment Programme tutor within Oxfordshire before moving to the West Midlands and working for Partnerships in Care in 2007.
Following experience within managerial roles, Leigh was seconded in early 2015 to Pathnav Clinical lead – a corporate role which links digital technology, care planning and patient engagement, encapsulating patient centred care. Leigh has a real desire to take primary nursing to the next level, whereby enhancing patient care and recovery. This has been supported in his role within the Preceptorship Academy which PiC offers to newly qualified nurses.
