Fiona has worked in Refugee Healthcare in a variety of roles and
locations. She was a GP in a specialist service for asylum seekers
in Salford for many years. She has spent time in the Middle East
working in health advocacy for Syrian refugees and mentoring
Palestinian family doctors. Most recently she has been working
with Hope Citadel Healthcare in Manchester, considering how to
safely and effectively care for newly arrived asylum seekers in a
local hotel. The team have been aiming towards gradual
integration of these patients into mainstream general practice.
