Chris Townsend OBE is the CEO of Broadband Delivery UK within the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, overseeing its £1.7bn infrastructure programme. Under Chris’ leadership the programme has delivered superfast broadband to over 3.6 million homes and businesses in the UK, provided superfast broadband connection vouchers to 50,000 SMEs, and improved mobile infrastructure in many not-spot areas. Previously, Chris was the Commercial Director for the London 2012 Olympics and Marketing Director at Transport for London.
